Losing my mom this past year was one of the hardest things that I've had to endure. But there were so many beautiful things that came out of it. Professionally it took me from "just" taking pictures to understanding the true importance of what I'm really doing. I'm documenting one of the most important days in your life. I'm capturing a brief moment in time and making it last forever. Sometimes its easy to look past the simplicity of a photograph. Its ability to move you, to conjure up long forgotten memories, its ability to make you smile. That realization made me love my job even more. I get to give you a gift that lasts a lifetime. It has helped me look for and enjoy the little things in life. The simplicity of the sun on your face or the smile of someone you love. This has really transcended into my photography.
